Good Morning! I hope you enjoy this issue of Joyful Soaring Tips and find something that helps you have a Joy-Filled week!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~ 1) Joy Juice ~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was reminded this week of an old story about 3 bricklayers. A visitor walked up to a work site and asked the first bricklayer what he was doing. The bricklayer yawned and said, "I'm laying bricks."
The visitor then went to the second bricklayer and asked what he was doing. Patting the brickwork completed, the second bricklayer said, "I'm building a wall."
Finally, the visitor came to a third bricklayer who was whistling as he worked, and the visitor asked him what he was doing. The whistling bricklayer smiled and said, "Why, I'm building a cathedral!"
They were all laying bricks. Which bricklayer do you choose to be this week?

~~ 2) Taking Action ~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Every time you say 'no' to a request for time, money, energy, or support, you are saying 'yes' to something else." -- Maggie Bedrosian
Many of us suffer from not being able to say 'no', yet we need to realize that saying no to something that's not right for us brings us that much closer to being offered the thing we do want. So, what's important is to be clear what you want in your life. Then, saying 'no' is much easier!
This week when you're presented with a request, first ask yourself if it's what you want in your life. If it's not, then give your regrets and start looking for that thing you do want to appear!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~ 3) Let's Ponder ~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A friend shared this with me recently. I don't know who to attribute it to.
If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look something like the following:
57 Asians
21 Europeans
14 from the Western Hemisphere, north and south
6 Africans
52 Female
48 Male
70 Nonwhite
30 White
70 Non-Christian
30 Christian
89 Heterosexual
11 Homosexual
6 people possess 59% of the entire world's wealth; all 6 are
from the United States
80 live in substandard housing
70 are unable to read
50 suffer from malnutrition
1 is near death; 1 is near birth
1 (yes, only 1) has a college education
1 owns a computer
We are so blessed and so insulated here in the States! If you found one number here more appalling or striking than the others, that's where you can make a difference.
~~ 4) Soaring Free ~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A dear friend of mine recently stopped by for an overnight visit. We had only a brief time together, yet we covered so many topics and shared on a very deep level about our lives, dreams, and challenges. It was such a joy exploring a new restaurant with him and seeing our home and life through another's eyes. What a gift that visit was!
Is it time for you to visit someone you don't see often or invite them for a visit? Pick up the phone and spend a few minutes connecting or plan a quick trip to see someone special. You'll be delighted with the shine and sparkle it brings into your life.

~~ 5) Play Time ~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a great time to visit your hobby or craft store. They have aisles of brightly colored plastic eggs, trinkets, and baskets. What I like to do is fill some of those eggs with glittery confetti, a tiny toy, a dime, or piece of chocolate and hide them around the house. You don't have to wait for the holiday to do this!
Put one in your partner's underwear drawer, and another in the silverware drawer. Stick one in a briefcase or lunch sack, amongst the canned goods, or under a pillow. Give one filled with a tasty treat to your pet to bat around. And don't forget that they're great for little love notes any time. I try to put some in places that aren't visited daily, then even I get a treat when I discover one that I planted long ago.
For an extra treat, designate one as the "Royal Treat". You might want to mark it or have only one of that color. Fill it with a special notice gifting the finder with a favor or some sort of 'royal treatment'. Hide it well! When it's found and the treat delivered, it's the finder's turn to fill it and hide it again.
~~ 6) Joy Supplies ~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just love my bird feeders in the back yard this time of year! Every morning, I see a Cardinal pair visiting us. Last year, we had 3 pairs! Remember our feathered friends this time of year and keep those feeders filled. And throw an ear of corn to that squirrel out there, too. You'll enjoy the rascal's antics a lot more if you've welcomed him to your yard.
