Good Morning! I hope you enjoy this issue of Joyful Soaring Tips and find something that helps you have a Joy-Filled week!

What is Success?

To laugh often and love much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the approval of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To give of one's self;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived . . .

This is to have succeeded.

-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Is there a room in your home that's just always a bit more cluttered than you'd like it to be? Are you frustrated because you can't keep it the way you want it? Try this approach: get the entire family involved! Call a family meeting and ask each person to answer these questions:

· What's working for you about this room? (Example: I like having our music collection here and categorized by type of music.)
· What's not working for you about this room? (Example: There's too many magazines, and I don't know when it's okay to toss them.)
· What items are essential to you in this room? (Example: Throw pillows for watching TV, remote control where everyone can find it, and a space to store my crochet project.)
· Why do you want this room to be organized? (Example: So we won't be embarrassed if company stops by and so we don't fight about the mess each evening.)
· What's causing the problem? (Example: We don't have a designated space for magazines, and we have too much stuff.)

Then brainstorm together some solutions and ask each person to commit to doing their part towards keeping the room the way you all want it to be. You might even get the room organized and take a picture of it so you have a model to check against.

(Thanks to Julie Morgenstern's book, Organizing from the Inside Out, for this idea.)

~~ 3) Let's Ponder ~~

Who you will be in the next few years depends on 3 things:

· What you read
· Who you associate with
· The quality of the choices you make

Choose today to upgrade the choices you make.

In honor of St. Patrick's day, as you think of something green to wear, try one of these to add to your celebration:

· Look for something green in your closet that no longer fits and donate it
· Spend a little green to help a shelter or environmental cause
· Make a green 4-leaf clover from construction paper and write on it, "Green Hugs. Today Only: Free!" Pin in on your shirt or blouse for the day
· Have a green dessert
· Anyone for green tea rather than green beer?
· Listen to some Irish music
· Sign checks and letters today with a green pen

Thanks to Molly Ivins for this:

My Aunt Eula's bank in Fort Worth has been swallowed so many times by bigger banks, she calls it 'Edible National.'
